Young Roundabouters (10 – 12 years)
Regular Weekly Workshops started back on Saturday 9th January 2010 with preparation for the visit to the Reco by President Mc Aleese.The Young Roundabouters created a presentation about what the group do in their regular drama workshops for the guests at the Reco’s official opening on 16th January 2010 attended by President Mary Mc Aleese.
The following Saturday the focus of the Young Roundabouters turned to creating their own version of Pinocchio for the LIFT Festival in March 2010.
Roundabout Youth Theatre (13-16 years)
This new group of RYT began on Saturday 6th February, starting with a beginner Drama Workshop which included drama games, some improvisation & devising.Saturday 23rd January was the beginning of working towards a project for the LIFT Festival with Justine King, initially exploring two scripts, Adult Child/Dead Child by Claire Dowie and Pieces of Me by Paul Cullen & Dawn Sennett.
Roundabout Youth Theatre Seniors (17-21 years)
Regular Weekly Workshops started back on Tuesday 12th January 2010 with a follow-up workshop from the Summer programme with Dee Roycroft on Texts for Actors.The group are working towards their new play based on the idea of women in prison. To explore this theme, Jacinta Sheerin from Wicked Angels Theatre Company & Mountjoy Prison facilitated an ideas workshop on Tuesday 26th January.
