The Reco's Pick 'n Mix Arts Extravaganza 2010!!!

Reco's Pick 'n Mix Arts Extravaganza fundraiser, 4th of December 2010 in Axis Ballymun, 6-9pm. An end of year youth arts celebration of young people involved in arts projects in BRYR, Ballymun Regional Youth Resource. Roundabout Youth Theatre, drama, fine art, film screenings, bands, samba, rap and much much more.....

Roundabout Round-Up 2010!

January 2010: Young Roundabouters drama presentation at the official opening of The Reco by President McAleese.
March 2010: An Evening with Roundabout, LIFT, Ballymun’s Youth Arts Festival.
The evening launched the exhibition A History of Roundabout Youth Theatre part of which is on permanent display in The Reco.
Young Roundabouters performed Pinocchio (re-invented)
RYT performed Pieces of Me directed by Justine King.
RYT hosted open drama workshop for LIFT
Summer 2010: RYT created and delivered in collaboration with BRYR a successful Summer Arts Camp which enabled young people from the community to experience drama alongside other art forms such as art & digital media.
Positive Vibes Collaborative Arts Programme began 8th July for six weeks culminating in a Showcase on 27th July 2010 in The Reco.
October 2010: The Young Roundabouters presented their new devised work Somewhere Over A Sandwich presented in the Reco Hall on Friday 29th October 2010.
Trick or Treat: An RYT Halloween Happening for the Otherworld Festival Ballymun 2010, created with both the Young Roundabouters & wider RYT, performed in collaboration.
November 2010: NAYD’s New Stage Readings 2011 at The Peacock Theatre reading two plays from the Tenderfoot Project, plays written by young people for young people.
December 2010: The Reco’s Pick ‘n Mix Arts Extravaganza at The Axis 4th December: RYT performing excerpts from A Family Affair by Lisa Sherin & Trapped by Fear by Aisling O’Leary. Young Roundabouters performing ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas
NAYD’s Youth Theatre Members Forum Workshops 2010.

Throughout 2010 Roundabout Youth Theatre worked through weekly workshops within the core age groups.

Between January and September 2010, the senior RYT group (17-21 years) transitioned away and became La-Di-Da Theatre Company, applied and were accepted to Absolut Fringe, created and performed LIPSTICK SERVICE at Axis Ballymun and were nominated for the Spirit of the Fringe Award 2010. They are now an independent theatre company.
